Plant Consciousness Expert

London

Rebekah’s mission is to help spread the importance of Plant ‘Consciousness” for our future survival, and assist those in the urban jungles to live more shamanically, reconnecting them back to the plants, nature and the natural cycles and rhythms of life. She does this by holding traditional shamanic plant medicine ceremonies to remind us that we are a part of Nature She has been exploring consciousness since a failed suicide attempt at thirteen, when she got so depressed at being on this planet she decided suicide was the only way out. She had a near death experience and her mother told her that suicide is not the way out. That she could not escape and that she’d made a contract to stay and help people on this planet. If she left she would make a big hole in the web of life. The only way to come out of this misery was to find a way of being happy, despite what she had been taught to believe. And so she began the long road to come out of her misery and find happiness. Her seeking path ended in 1998. She was called in a vision by a traditional Ayahuasquero Shaman, while working in a hotel in Machu Picchu, and found her teacher nestled in a village deep in the Peruvian Amazon. She worked deeply and intensely with plant medicines and apprenticed with Ayahuasca. She was given a seed of something profound but the instructions from the Shaman were that I had to return back to England, that I was a westerner and my destiny was in the west. My time in the Amazon was completed and the next stage of the journey in the urban jungle of London was only just beginning? Rebekah has a BA (Hons) in Study of Religions, and MSc in Development Economics, both from SOAS University. She has been a Vipassana meditator for over 22 years and she has a Post-graduate Psychology Diploma in the Human Givens Approach. She is also the author of the self-published book ‘The Shaman’s Last Apprentice’. Rebekah runs regular Shamanic residential and Plant Medicine retreats, Cacao ceremonies and workshops around the world.
